Corporate Gifts

Please contact us at bannacreations@gmail.com for gifting requirements

What separates and differentiates Banna from other retail ventures in the handicraft space, is that Banna’s products are handmade and created by artisans and self- help groups for whom this is a primary means of livelihood.Banna’s aim is to set up a center in Bangalore, where artisans can come and conduct workshops to propagate their art to a larger audience, exhibit their work, connect with customers in real time and get a chance to earn a better living, than what they would, in their current places of work.

For socially conscious companies, this is an opportunity to encourage local and Indian art and crafts.

Every product tells a story

All our products tell a story.

A story of rich Indian art and craft, a story of dying traditions, a story of an artist and his motivation to continue doing what he knows best.

Each of our products are representative of traditions that have been passed down the ages and in most cases have a history that is more than a few hundred years. While some of these traditional art forms are today practiced by individuals and families, many products are produced by groups of people who have come together during times of crises to form self-help groups as a means of sustenance.

An example of this would be our leather artisans who came together after the devastating earthquakes in Gujarat in 2001. The leather products they produce are their only means of livelihood after the devastation in 2001 which caused them to lose everything.

Indian Paintings

We also work with artists and painters from different parts of the country. These are talented and trained individuals who practice these age old art forms in an attempt to revive and maintain their family traditions that have been handed down the ages. We work with

Each of these art forms is practiced using paper or cloth as the base and paintings are made using natural colors and dyes with hand-made brushes. Be it Ganjifa from Mysore or Phad paintings from Rajasthan and Pattachitra from Orrisa, each painting has a story to tell. For example Phad painting or “Phad Chitrakari” is a traditional art form which was originally painted on silk cloth used as backdrops for travelling dance and theatre groups in the old days.
